Dear Santa,
For Christmas I want some legos, some clothing, and an ipod touch (Max says.. I'm going for it!). I have been really good. My brothers have been really good too! My sister has been kind of a whiny girl. And I want a.. a. . ipod touch.. yeah I'm going for it!
Love, MaxDear Santa,
I am going to make you cookies this year. I want Tegu blocks. I want a slide. I want a computer. I want little silly bands. I want pokemon. I want games. I want books. I want a camera. I want an ipod touch. I want a dsi. I want dsi games. (Where does this kid come from? Hello?)
Love, Alexander (The want*want boy)
Dear Santa,
I lost one tooth this year. I have been good and bad. I trade pokemons fair. I sometimes trade silly bands fair. Sometimes I give 3 silly bands for one super cool silly band. I want pop the pig, more silly bands, dsi, (I'm going for it), dsi games (I'm going for it), and I want more teeth to fall out (I'm going for it).
Love, Barrett
(Everyone is going for it .. NOW! Lemmings)
Dear Santa,
I like you! Thank you for all the presents you are going to bring me. I found Zac a lot of times. I really want Hello Kitty! And... Hello Kitty!! And Hello Kitty!!!
Love, Jacq
We might have to have yet another lesson on pleases'.. thank yous'.. and that Christmas is not all about "Going for it!" and "Gettin' it!" HA!

Our sugar cookies were yummy this year. We randomly changed recipes and this one was a winner.. We'll keep it for awhile.

The Famous Emporium Sugar Cookie

1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. almond extract
1 egg
1/2 cup sour cream
31/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

Cream butter & sugar together. Add egg, vanilla and almond extracts, and mix well. Add sour cream and mix until blended. Sift dry ingredients together. Add dry ingredients until blended. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and chill for 1 to 2 hours. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Roll dough out onto lightly floured surface to about 1/8" thick. Dip cookie cutter in flour and cut out cookies into desired shapes. Bake on cookie sheets for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are pale golden. cool on wire racks.

Try it! Just go for it.. HA! Everyone is doing it! :)

Cute letters to Santa! I loved that Max wrote that his little sister was a little whiny. So cute! I have a recipe that calls for the sour cream in the cookies and it always seems to turn out perfect. I think I'll try yours though, too, just to try a new one! Looks like you guys are having lots of fun!
