Halloween 2010

My favorite part of Halloween is most certainly dressing up.. well .. not me personally dressing up. Although that sounds like fun and every year I intend to. For some reason (maybe 5 reasons) it never happens. Maybe next year.

I am not the biggest fan of trick or treating.. Nope.. I don't even really have a reason for the whole dislike of trick or treating. I just don't like it. I guess I am funny like that. Anyway.. this year I was kind of a bum too... I told the kids to dig in the old halloweener box and find themselves a costume or get creative. They were good sports and even excited about their costumes. Love them. Everyone single one of them. Most every single day.

Zombie Max~
Troopers Alexander and Barrett ~ Love love those big smiles and thumbs ups!
Beautiful kitty Jacq ~
Lola Zebra girl. She was a tricky one to get a picture of. Ever since this girl started walking she is on the go non stop.. Not only does she not stop... she doesn't really walk either.. she RUNS!
A big YEAH for a successful 2010 Halloween. See 2009. 2008. 2007. Looks like we have been circulating the same costumes for lots of years. Talk about getting our value out of those babies. Heck yesser. Until 2011~

Mall on halloween!

Some days I have no idea what I am thinking.. we stopped in at the mall on Halloween to visit Grandma and peek in on all the chaos... . and chaos it was. These guys were way fun.. other than that it was crazy crowded.. We lasted about 10 minutes. This mom has never been real excited about a big crowd. :)

Pumpkin time

I vote Mr. Potato Heads for everyone (but Max) next year. Love the crazy chaos.. but it was a lot of de*gutting.. and carving.. Let's be honest, that equals a lot of work for mom and dad. Max was a champ this year.. he de*gutted his pumpkin, designed the face, and even carved it all by himself. Love every minute of that. It turned out Awesome!
Alexander put his best foot forward.. with a.. with a.. .an ice cream scoop? Mister didn't want to touch the pumpkin guts.. Potato head for him next year. Barrett pretty much boo whoo*ed every step of the way.. 2 pumpkins for him next year.. or a potato head. .Don't let the crazy face trick you. That face was all for show. This girl was determined to show everyone that her brothers are the big time wimps in the family. ha ha.. She didn't hesitate to dive right in. Lots of guts for her and she designed her a very cute pumpkin.
Lola is a kick in the pants. I tell you that girl is loads of fun. Every time I turned around she was into someones pumpkin.. dumping pumpkin guts on her head.. stealing a spoon.. just having a blast. Love her!
Ok.. . no potato heads... One pumpkin next year for everyone.. Jacq can de-gut.. Max can carve.. Lola can get in the way.. brothers can boo *whoo.. and pretend with an ice cream scoop.. and we'll call it good.. YAY for pumpkin time!

Jacq's birthday.

October is a very busy month for us.. and I love it.. I try to stay just one step ahead. And that my friend is a challenge every day.. let alone in the month of October.

Happy Birthday Jacqualynn Grace!
Oh.. . I love this girl. Our Jacq is a spit fire... a free spirit.. one determined girl. Jacq is full of passion. She pretty much knows what she wants and she will do whatever it takes to get it. The challenge with Jacq is nurturing this girl in such a way that it will not squelch her spirit. When I look at this girl three words come to mind.. *STOP GROWING UP!*
Love you Jacq!

*1 year*

Happy Birthday Beautiful girl..
Lola just knew that today was all about her. And *it was all about her.* Lola girl may have gotten that from someone I know. :) She was showing off and loving every last minute of it. We just love this girl at our house and most of the time can't get enough of her. She is a blast.. She might as well live in her very own fairytale. She wakes up in the morning with a big smile on her face and goes to bed dancing. She is a dream.. a delight.. and we are grateful she is in our family.

Hair today ~ Gone tomorrow

Apparently this little stinker was tired of his long hair.. Wait I knew that.. he has been letting me know for about a month.. "I want to be bald like dad!" "When can I get a hair cut?" I love his beautiful Barrett hair.. so there was this little silent battle going on. Barrett so won. Barrett was doing himself an after school craft and couldn't see? Well that is his story.. so he cut his beautiful hair right off. I'm not going to lie.. I miss his beautiful hair.
Right after the snip snip.He isn't excited about his haircut or anything. Buzz cut
BARRETT! There are other ways to get attention. .. Let's not cut our beautiful hair next time.. ha ha..
*took these pictures off Auntie Nana's blog. Thanks Auntie Nana..
