Snow day

We had our first big snow in Utah. Love us a snow day.
I am still trying to figure out what this girl liked more.. Outside .. (Dinosaur*baby)Outside with dad.. only her most favorite person in the world. :)Outside with Walle.. Her bestest little buddy. Or inside with MOM peeking out on all the fun. This girl was all giggles.. .. and when I say giggles.. I mean all giggles.. (love that nose scrunch)We are checking our weather every day looking for our next snow day..

The Tree..

Love me a house full of Christmas treasures. Brings back so many amazing memories over the years..
Like for instance.. I use to fluff me a beautiful tree and make it real pretty. Yes Sir.. I was a re-arranger. Ha! You know the mom that goes behind her kids and re does the tree. I had to let go. Last year I learned to let go. Look a this beautiful bunch of 5 ornaments. Makes my heart smile.Just when I think I want a tree all of my own.. a tree with way too much ribbon and lots of bows and lots and lots of fluff.. I see how excited my kids are about their treasures. They are real proud kids..
As you can see .. they love their treasures.. and so do I.
Plus we have a handful of Hawaii treasures.. Makes my Tim's heart happy to see our first set of ornaments. Those are serious lifers!
I can not forget the balls that the boys used to play baseball with. Makes me laugh to think about how frazzled I was when they started batting them against the wall. Ha! Boys will be boys! Love my 2010 collect-o! (I made that up myself)This year.. I let go even more.. I purchased fun brightly colored kiddie paper.. Some of the rolls even have Santa on them. What?? So unlike me. That was the one thing I was holding onto. .. I love me a pretty package and I like it the way I like it. Mailing package paper with a real big ribbon bow.. Sounds blah.. but I love it!!
But.. more than a pretty package with a big beautiful bow. . I love a Christmas packed with too many memories to record. Merry Merry..

Anyway.. no pics of my handsome Tim.. but here are some pics of my amazing cooking skills ..
I know .. best wife ever.. You can nominate me for *wife of the year*. . ha ha.. Sorry about the no picture thing babe! Happy Birthday!

11*19*99

Tim posted this lovely picture of me on his facebook. Lovely huh?
He wrote, "11 years ago. Best decision of my life!" Now that was lovely!!
And I feel exactly the same way. Could not have wrote it better
myself. Love him more than yesterday.

We spent the evening having dinner here.. AMAZING!

And then we wondering aimlessly around the mall with no agenda at all.. Pretty much the most perfect evening in every way.

Barrett Boy!

This boy was over the moon excited about losing his very first tooth. What is it about losing a tooth?? Is this huge milestone in their little life or what? Ha! This is when Max started becoming a toothless wonder. It was just as big of a deal for him. Hopefully Alexander will be soon. These boys don't like to be left too far behind eachother. Oh what it would be like to be a twinner. :)

Hiking the *Y*

Don't let those *I'm so tired* faces trick you.. these kids practically ran up to the top of the Y and then turned around and ran down without blinking an eye. I don't know how I am ever going to keep up with them.. They are ... KRAZY!!
Max may have whined the most?? I know right?? Our oldest.. our #1.. the star?? Love him.. He may have grabbed my hand once or twice. Made me smile. Alexander seriously has one thing on his mind.. SNOW!! When he saw the *Y*, he kept yelling, "MOM.. MOM.. SNOW.. I see SNOW".. running harder and harder to get there. "Did you know that the *Y* is made out of snow?" It was seriously awesome!Barrett boy started at the bottom of the hill and was at least one switch back ahead of us the whole time.
I asked him.. "Little friend.. do you ever get tired?"
Him, "Yes!"
Me, "What do you tell yourself to keep going. . going.. going?"
Him, "Nothing.. I just go.. I don't tell myself anything.. I just keep on going." Ha ha.. funny kid~Doesn't every little girl hike with flowers in their hair and a beaded necklace around their neck??
She of course didn't let those boys show her up.. ha ha.. love it that she is holding her pants up.. That smile makes my mommy heart smile every time..
Lola is the happiest when she is outside.. So this day was practically heaven for her. She was outside and she had her dad! This girl loves her "Da da" more than anything. It's hard to be the favorite. Just ask Tim. :)
I am so blessed. Best family ever.
