Raspberry jam

Got to love the NW! Cool temps and cloudy days smack dab in the middle of summer. Sure does bring me right back to my childhood. For years yummy homemade rasberry jam has appeared in our cupboards and OOOOOOOOOOOO how we have enjoyed it. I never actually experienced the jam making process. Let me tell you the process was loads of fun . .seriously. . .at least the berry pickin' part. . . 48 lbs of berries later . . .a lot of work. . but loads of fun! I think everyone managed to stuff their tummys full of their fair share of berries, somehow become covered in dirt from head to toe, and have a few good laughs in the meantime.

Oh break my heart fun! Looks like you guys are having a blast and I totally miss you all. Happy jam times, I can't get enough of it.

Oh... that is something I really miss... the berry fields. WE don't get the berries here in TX ... but I can't not make jam (it is a tradition) so we make peach jam instead :).

Looks like you guys are having a great time... love the pics!

I love berries and I LOVE family, so I had a super time at the fields. Thanks for making a super activity.
And also thanks for making that yummy cake / cream / raspberry cake afterwards. Why isn't there a picture of that? Hmmmmmm "burp!" I have an idea.

That looks like even more fun than making the jam! Now I want to find a place to pick berries like that around my house! 48 pounds?! That's a whole stinkin' lot!
